Ron Artest made the mistake of not option out of his contract with the Kings. The Kings would welcome a trade with their bitter rivals, provided Los Angeles part with Odom and take-in Kenny Thomas' contract as well.

I think Artest would'nt be any trouble in LA coz Phil Jax knows how to deal with nut cases like Ron and Artest has respect for Kobe, so no top dog issues will arise from that.

The LAkers, though, are still holding on to Odom, if only to see how a Bynum, Gasol and Odom front court will do. And now that they lost Ronny Turiaf to the Warriors via offer sheet, they'd be hard pressed to find a reliable rebounder (which Odom gives them) and another big man who can easily shift from SF to PF like Odom. Although I read somewhere that the Lakers are eager to get Josh Smith for Odom via sign and trade.

if u ask me.. i would still go for odom, he's more versatile and like u said. can easily switch from PF to SF. If i were artest i should have opted out of my contract with the kings then get a paycut and join the lakers (more chances of winning a title).

si ricky davis ng cleveland... la clippers na ngayon. so basically the clippers lost magette and brand but they got veterans such as baron davis, ricky davis and marcus camby.

Ron Artest is heading to Houston in exchange for Bobby Jackson, some first round picks and cash. TMac now has another defensive stopper (Shane Battier being the other) that will make Half man-Half A Season and Yao Ming's job easier and hopefully, get them to the second round of the playoffs.

in my own opinion, NBA teams are making transactions just for now to prepare themselves for the CELTICS. wait till 2010 for the big name players like KING JAMES to switch teams. then maybe there will be a team strong enough to compete with the CELTICS.

The Lakers have Trevor Ariza, who, like Josh Smith, is a high-flyer and can finish well on the breaks. The only advantage Smith has is his defense, but medyo olats daw sa overall basketball IQ itong si Smith.
